Victorians should support animals, artists

Editor, the Advocate:
Please consider making your memorials to loved ones who have passed to:
PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving), Victoria TNR (trap, neuter and release), Adopt A Pet and DOCPAC (Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption Center). Support our local veterinarians, businesses and the arts also.
Most of these places are nonprofit organizations dedicated to help us with the health care of our pets, minimize euthanization of pets due to overpopulation and to give animals good forever homes. These outstanding individuals go above and beyond to ensure our pets and adopted pets are well taken care of. Please spay and neuter your pets. Kudos to our veterinarians, foster parents, volunteers and all who take an active part in caring for our pets and the many that need adopting.
As for the arts, please, please show your support of our local actors, actresses, dancers, musicians and artists after they have performed for you. Stand up and give them the standing ovations they so deserve. They appreciate it and see just who does appreciate the countless hours they practice to perform for you so you can have an enjoyable time watching them. The standing ovations encourage them to suffer through the sore throats, sore fingers and the bruised toes from pointe shoes and dancing. They stand a little taller and smile bigger smiles because they are happy to bring their talent and magic to the stage just for you.
So please, Victoria, support all of the above. You will be so glad you did.
