Administration is not following honor code
Editor, the Advocate:
The fact that I have served in both the U.S. Navy and Army gives me a somewhat different perspective regarding recent revelations concerning the Obama administration. In the Navy, a ship's captain is held responsible if his ship runs aground even if he himself is asleep in his cabin when the event happens. Such a tenet does not seem to apply to our present commander in chief. The U.S. Military Academy's honor code simply states, "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those who do." The code further defines lying: "Cadets violate the honor code by lying if they deliberately deceive another by stating an untruth or by any direct form of communication to include the telling of a partial truth and the vague or ambiguous use of information or language with the intent to deceive or mislead." The Nixon and now the Obama Administration seem to have been infected with the same "untruth virus."
The beauty of the truth is that the story never changes, and you don't have to remember how and to whom you lied.
