"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

- Ephesians 5:32

My best fishing friend and I were driving down our favorite beach to find a most likely fishing spot. About a mile down the road, we could see all kinds of traffic lined up between the winter Texans' and their trailers as they chose the best places to park their winter homes and fish our beach.

In cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles and any other vehicle, we couldn't imagine what we were seeing on Halloween evening.

I have never seen so many kids on the beach front, and it took me a long time to realize that the winter Texans were sitting in their lawn chairs holding their bowls of Halloween candy and handing out trick-or-treat goodies to the native kids who met them down there at the beach.

Friendships were made that would last all winter long after the candy was gone. The kids and some of their families hung around and helped them unload and unhitch the cars that they had pulled from up north. The locals handed out names, addresses and cards if the winter Texans needed something. This was pretty neat because we became the United States again.

Soon, we fishermen and fisherwomen began fishing, and the kids began chewing their Halloween treats.

Dear Lord, we can all say, "Thank You, Lord" for this wonderful sharing of fishing and Halloween goodies.
