John Wesley United Methodist Church to hold arts, craft show

John Wesley United Methodist Church is holding its annual Angels and More Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free and door prizes will be drawn every half hour.

A dine-in or carry-out chicken spaghetti dinner, including, salad, bread and a drink will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Returning this year will be funnel cakes made to order and served warm. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will also be available throughout the day.

A variety of vendors from Victoria and the surrounding area will display their one-of-a-kind craft items. Examples of some of the items for sale will be cloth gift bags, jewelry, candles, quilts, handmade wearables, baby items, wreaths, hand-carved wood items, angels and Christmas items, including yard displays.

John Wesley will sponsor several church booths, including a silent auction displaying a wide range of items.

The church also sponsors a booth featuring all handmade items ranging from aprons to wall hangings to kitchen scrubbers.

An entertainment booth will offer new and gently used books, CDs and DVDs. Church bakers will show off their creations at the Sweet Shoppe, so be sure not to miss this booth offering pies, cakes, cookies, candies, bread and all kinds of goodies.

A raffle featuring "God's Multicolored World" quilt made by the Tuesday Group ladies is the highlight of the show. Raffle tickets can be purchased from any church member or purchased Saturday at the craft show.
