Two women were arrested Monday night charged with selling methamphetamine from a Yorktown home.

Executing a search warrant about 9 p.m., members of the Yorktown Police Department and Cuero Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Team entered the house in the 100 block of Strieber Alley.

Arrested were Trudy Mueller Schuenemann, 50, and Christie Lea Hicks, 39, both of Yorktown. A third woman, Jennifer Machost Pesek, 35, of Port Lavaca, injured her ankle while resisting arrest, according to a news release from the Yorktown Police Department.

She was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro, where she was treated and released. Pesek will be arrested later, said Yorktown Police Officer Richard Ramirez.

Offices found a quantity of drugs that tested positive for methamphetamine and several hundred dollars in cash, Ramirez said.

The charges against the women include engaging in organized criminal activity, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug, according to the news release.
