Pet owners should be responsible for animals
Editor, the Advocate:
This letter is in response to Sharon Mathiews' letter appearing in the Advocate on Oct. 31.
While it is sad that their cats are gone, what's even sadder is that Mrs. Mathiews seems to take no responsibility at all for the actions of her pets.
After reading Mr. Lindsey's letter, in the Advocate on Nov. 2, it seems these cats were spending a lot of time at his house, in his yard and, most likely, roaming the entire neighborhood.
I'm so tired of reading letters from pet owners always looking to blame everyone else for things that happen to their pets. Stop looking for someone else to blame and start taking some responsibility. Your pets are your responsibility - not everyone else's.
