Cold, wet weekend ahead

A strong cold front will move into South Texas on Friday with temperatures falling behind the front through the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday ahead and along the front and continuing Friday night behind the cold front.
Colder, overcast and rainy conditions will prevail behind the front Saturday through Sunday.
Highs will only be in the upper 40s to 50s Saturday and Sunday, according to the NWS.
Small Craft Advisory conditions can be expected by Friday night with gusts to near gale force possible across the coastal waters through Saturday.
Advisory conditions will prevail through Sunday and likely continue into the first part of next week.
