UHV softball adds two JUCO transfers

The UHV softball program added two more commitments earlier this week with the singings of Howard College transfers Alyssa Rangel and Lani Munoz.
Rangel, a sophomore pitcher from Deer Park, will join the Jaguars this spring, while Munoz will join the team in the fall of 2014.
Rangel compiled a 14-2 record and a 3.71 ERA in 16 games for Howard College last season. She recorded 70 strikeouts and just 13 walks in 83 innings of work.
Munoz played in 58 games last season and hit for a .353 batting average and a .453 slugging percentage. She also had 24 RBI, 10 doubles, two triples, a home run and scored 43 runs.
