SCHOOL DISTRICT DRESS CODE
According to a news release from coat drive organizers, when purchasing new coats for school-aged students, the Victoria school district dress code policy is that logos are to be no larger than 2 inches, and no graphics other than school logos are allowed. Jackets should be solid colors.
For the 20th year, Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company is sponsoring the Wrap a Child in Warmth campaign.
"Since the program began, well over 10,000 coats have been distributed to deserving children," said company president Lee Swearingen.
"This year, the demand seems to be higher than ever, but we are confident that the community will support the program as it has in the past."
Triangle Cleaners donates cleaning the coats and blankets before they are distributed.
Distribution is coordinated through the Victoria school district's Kidz Connection program.
Donations are now being accepted at the American Red Cross, 1501 E. Red River St., Suite, A-1; Kidz Connection, 1611 E. North St.; Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company, 2505 N. Navarro St.; Triangle Cleaners, 3803 Sam Houston Drive; First Prosperity Bank, 6252 N. Navarro St. and 1205 N. Navarro St.; Wells Fargo Bank, 1201 N. Main St.; Holy Family Catholic Church, 704 Mallette Drive; Grace Lutheran Church, 9806 N.E. Zac Lentz Parkway; Our Lady of Victory School, 1311 E. Mesquite Lane.
