A 53-year-old San Antonio woman died Wednesday morning when the tanker truck she was driving overturned and burned in DeWitt County.

Suzzie Queue was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:05 a.m. by DeWitt County Justice of the Peace Bill Robinson, said Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Trooper Gerald Bryant.

The crash occurred about 6:40 a.m. on state Highway 72 about two-tenths of a mile west of Nordheim.

The 2012 Kenworth, owned by Nabors Well Service, was traveling west when it ran off the right side of the road, said Bryant.

"The driver overcorrected back onto the roadway, and the truck flipped over onto its side and immediately burst into flames," Bryant said.

The roadway reopened to one lane about 2 p.m.

Trooper Elizabeth Tolbert is investigating the crash. She is assisted by Trooper Sgt. Frank Casillas.
