Hallettsville man turns 102

Emil Treptow celebrated his 102nd birthday on  Nov. 21, at Stevens Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers of Hallettsville. His two daughters, Beth Hamilton and Judy Richards, and their husbands, J.R. Hamilton and Ronald Richards, visited him for the event. He had two cakes and 102 balloons in celebration of the day. While reminiscing over special moments in his life Treptow said, "I'm thankful for a lot of moments in my life and living to be 102 is one of them." When Treptow isn't celebrating his birthday he enjoys listening to music and participating in other birthday parties around the facility.
