Parents of praying children should be praised
Editor, the Advocate:
After reading the Advocate's story about two young children leading prayers at the Prayer at the Pole event, I was moved by the dedication of the parents of these children. It is obvious that these parents have chosen to place the teachings of Christ as a priority for their children. In a world that is surrounded by every temptation to take children's minds away from God, these parents have chosen to teach their children to pray in a very meaningful and personal way to their Father in heaven at the young ages of 7 and 9.
I can only imagine what a different world we would be living in if all parents would be leading their children in the same direction. I believe we should all be thankful for Christian parents like these and pray that God gives us more like them for the sake of our world and country.
