Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice

THUMBS-UP

Thumbs-up to Bob Martin on two great careers. I'll bet he starts a third. Great work, Bob. Also, thumbs-up to rain - whenever it comes.

Don, Victoria

THUMBS-DOWN

Thumbs-down to the city of Port Lavaca responsible for sweeping clean our streets, but they only sweep certain parts of the city streets. We all pay our property taxes.

Mary, Port Lavaca

Thumbs-down about the 8-year-old child facing bullying alone in the "Feeling torn in Texas" report from the Dear Abby column in the Victoria Advocate on Sept. 14. This is also happening to my niece and countless other poor, helpless children. They can be helped, and we need to do a better job doing so.

Nathan, Victoria

Thumbs-down to the obstinate Victoria City Council members and the DA who won't make them turn over records about possible illegal meetings during the mayoral race debacle.

Don, Victoria
