Tractor-trailer partially pins truck in state Highway 185 wreck

Department of Public Safety Trooper James Vinson writes up a citation on the scene of a tractor-trailer and car wreck. David Anthony Hernandez, the driver of the dodge ram,  was injured and transported by private vehicle.

A wreck involving a Spirit tractor-trailer carrying an unknown substance sent one Victoria man to the hospital Monday night.

David Anthony Hernandez, 26, of Victoria, was driving on the inside lane headed east on state Highway 185 near Victoria Phillips 66 in a Dodge Ram when the tractor-trailer heading east in the outside lane, driven by Steven Ledford, 27, turned left into the crossover, said Department of Public Safety Trooper James Vinson.

The tractor-trailer pinned the passenger side of Hernandez's vehicle but did not leak upon impact.

Hernandez was transported by private vehicle to Citizens Medical Center to be checked for observation.

Ledford was issued a citation for turning left from the wrong lane, Vinson said.
