MISSION: "To support all East football athletes to the best of our ability on and off the field. To do our part as parents to develop the best students, athletes and future citizens for all football athletes that pass through the doors of Victoria East High School Football."
Mark Pullin joined the booster club after his son started school at Victoria East High School when it first opened in 2010.
"I got elected as an officer at the first meeting," Pullin, 47, said. "We've always been involved with our kids in school; we thought it was best."
Pullin's son, Bo Pullin, plays on the East varsity football team as an offensive-line tackle.
"He's been on varsity since freshmen year," Pullin said. "He actually played in the first playoff game as a freshman, and he said he could hardly breathe; he was so nervous."
Last year, the team raised about $25,000 for the East football department supplies and scholarships for the players.
"It's all for the boys and the athletes; we don't do anything for ourselves," Pullin said. "It means a lot to see the boys grow in their athletic ability and provide scholarships for the seniors when they leave."
On Friday, the Titans go against their rival hometown team, the Victoria West High School Warriors.
"We feel good about it," Pullin said. "The boys played well last week, and we've won the last three years."
