Paula Pribyl Kainer to open art exhibit in Kenedy
Paula Pribyl Kainer, a native Victoria, will have her art on display at the Second Street Gallery.
The exhibit will open with a reception Oct. 19 form 2-4 p.m. at the gallery, 122 S. Second St. in downtown Kenedy.
Kainer will be present at the reception and will give a talk at 2:30 p.m. about her work.
She began art lessons as a child while attending Nazareth Academy in Victoria. In her adult years, she studied oil painting with Jim Shaffer and Simon Michael.
Upon her retirement from Victoria ISD in 2002, Kainer changed mediums from oil to watercolor and studied with Ellie Poirrier and Fred James. She has also taken workshops with Ken Hosmer, Kay Barneby, Angie Banta Brown and numerous others.
She is exhibiting in Latitude 28*02' Gallery in Rockport, the Victoria Regional Airport and the Victoria Art League, of which she is a member.
