• Don Crook, the chief litigator at Wayne Wright, which has offices in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Austin and Houston, represented the Olachia family, of Corpus Christi, during a motor vehicle case that settled for $9.5 million on Friday. There were two attorneys named Don Crook on the State Bar of Texas' online database. The Advocate called and left a message on Tuesday for the wrong Don Crook, who did not respond.The Olachias received a $4.1 million settlement. The other plaintiff, Calvin Stovall, of Victoria, received $5.4 million of the settlement. Attorney fees will be subtracted from both amounts.This information was incorrect and unclear, respectively, in a story on Page A1 Wednesday.
