Shutdown was distraction from real issues

It just amazes me how one story can dominate the news for weeks, and it seems like everything else around the world must be doing great.
All we heard about recently is the government shutdown. I realize this is a very important issue, but what happened to the Internal Revenue Service scandal, Benghazi, terrorism, etc.? This world as a whole is a mess. Have Iran, Korea, Russia and other countries stopped trying to get nuclear weapons? I do believe this government issue served as a smoke screen to turn our minds away from these other issues.
News media is not reporting about all the Christians that are being beheaded in Syria and other countries by al-Qaida because they won't turn from God and accept Allah as their God. Our president is sending arms to these terrorist groups.
Our government has purchased millions of rounds of hollow-point bullets.
He used his power to close parks, memorials and other areas that belong to us, the taxpayers. It is all about scare tactics. Maybe someday he will use all these bullets against the American people so that we will have to do as he says and give him what he wants. He wants "Obamacare," but it is not good enough for him or Congress and several special interest groups but is good enough for us. What is wrong with this picture?
