Thumbs-up to everyone who has voted so far in the state constitutional amendment election early voting. We hope every registered voter will make it to the polls by Nov. 5.
Thumbs-up to the fourth annual Pink Ribbon event named Cirque du Cure: Lions, Tigers & Bras ... Oh My! for raising funds for the American Cancer Society. A big thumbs-up to the men who supported women with breast cancer by modeling the fancy bras.
Thumbs-up to the return of the annual South Texas Farm and Ranch show. We are glad to see this event is well-attended and educates the community about agriculture.
Thumbs-up to La Villa Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center for hosting a fall festival for children to visit the residents and have a good time. This is good for both the hospice residents and the children.
Thumbs-up to the University of Houston-Victoria students who painted watercolor messages to give hope during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Thumbs-up to the Texas Department of Public Safety for working with the Victoria County Elections Office to offer registered voters the Texas Election Identification Certificate.
Thumbs-up to Sulema and Ysrael Hinojosa for fostering 86 children over the past 21 years. We are amazed at your love and openness to help so many.
Thumbs-up to Victoria-born actress Terissa Kelton for her part in the film "3 References" that will premiere in Austin on Sunday.
Thumbs-up to the cooler temperatures. We are glad the scorching summer heat is fading away.
Thumbs-up and congratulations to hair stylist Joe Anthony Pena for winning the International Artist of the Year award from Farouk Systems.
