Get ready for more laughs hosted by the Golden Gecko.
The bar and comedy venue will host a two-for-one show with Donnell Rawlings and April Macie. Rawlings from "Chappelle's Show" and Macie from the "Last Comic Standing" will take the stage for three shows over two days, Nov. 22 and 23.
Golden Gecko owner Joey Sandoval said 2013 has been a great year for comedy and entertainment. Big names including Charlie Murphy, D.L. Hughley and, most recently, Eddie Griffin have taken the stage at the bar venue.
"This is our last comedy show of the year, so as a way to give back to our guests, we're hosting two comedians for one show," Sandoval said.
San Antonio comedian Jon Stringer will also return to the stage as the host of the show. Stringer was the opening act for "Saturday Night Live" veteran cast member Rob Schnieder during the August shows.
"Victoria loved Jon," Sandoval said. "He brought the house down. He's such a funny guy."
Next year is expected to be a great year for the Golden Gecko, too, he said. He has plans to bring more big names to the stage and is working on serving food at the shows.
"We just want to get bigger and better," Sandoval said.
Tickets for the Rawlings and Macie show go on sale Friday and are $20 for adults 21 years and older.
