President should not authorize attack on Syria
Editor, the Advocate:
Barack Hussein Obama is painting himself - and the nation - into a corner regarding the trouble in Syria. Obama believes the Syrian government has used sarin gas against its own people. John Kerry calls this obscene, and Obama wants to intervene, despite the fact that the U.S. has no interest in that conflict. He wants the U.S. to intervene on the side of the rebels fighting against the government. The problem with this is that the rebels are al-Qaida, and they are more likely to be the ones who used gas against the Syrian population than the government.
Remember, these are the gentle people who fly airliners into buildings.
Imagine being an American soldier and knowing that al-Qaida terrorists are the ones who have your back.
Vladimir Putin is playing Obama like a violin. He has issued the diplomatic equivalent of a double-dog dare in telling Obama to stay out of Syria, knowing that the president won't be able to resist the dare.
Putin is sitting back waiting for Obama to do something stupid, and Obama seems hell-bent on doing just that.
