Woman transported to hospital after car catches fire (Video)

A woman driving a small black sport utility vehicle was injured and then transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro when her vehicle caught fire about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Pasadena Drive and Whispering Creek Street in Victoria. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the woman was carrying gas-powered lawn equipment in her car, said Victoria Fire Department Battalion Chief Roger Hempel.

A female occupant of a vehicle was injured after a fire began in her car that contained lawn care equipment. The woman was driving down Pasadena Drive and continued across the intersection into the driveway at 308 Whispering Creek Street.
