Federal government is defrauding America
Editor, the Advocate:
Wake up, Victorians and Americans. We are being duped! Our Congress and executive branch are perpetrating the biggest fraud in the history of the world.
Do you wonder why we have not had a federal budget for four years (although our Constitution requires that we have a yearly federal budget)? Do you wonder how federal spending could explode during the current administration? The 2008 federal budget was $2.4 trillion, and 2012 spending was $3.79 trillion.
The answer is Stimulus II and continuing resolutions. The first action of the new president was to request a $1 trillion Stimulus II, which Congress approved. The Senate and House leaders then refused to bring up 2010 appropriation bills for votes. They convinced Congress to approve a series of "continuing resolutions" to fund the federal government for the fiscal year 2010.
The continuing resolutions funded the federal government at the 2009 spending level plus inflation. (I said spending level, not budget.) The fraud is that 2009 spending included the $1 trillion stimulus. So we gave the executive department another $1 trillion.
The fraud was repeated for fiscal year 2011, 2012 and 2013. It is about to be approved for 2014.
During the past five years (above budgeted amounts), we have given the executive department an additional $2.75 billion a day for the entire five years.
We must restore our budget system. Flood the Internet; flood Congress. Email the talk shows. Tell everyone you know. Get involved; be active!
God bless America.
