Horses' deaths could've been stopped

Editor, the Advocate:

I'm lost as to why the two horses dying is "possible" animal cruelty. According to the Advocate newspaper article, it is.

The sheriff's department was notified several times about the deteriorating condition of the horses. Neighbors had to give them water.

I'm appalled that nothing was done to get them moved before it was too late. There are a lot of horse people in and around Victoria, so I'm really surprised that there isn't more being done for large animals in Victoria.

There's a wonderful vet clinic for horses and the horseman's arena, which is always having events.
