Sept. 13, 2013 at 4:13 a.m.
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1545 E. Farm-to-Market Road 1961 in Ander, is having Sunday morning classes for children, youth and adults resume Sunday. Following the 9 a.m. worship service each Sunday, two classes for adults and three classes for youth will be offered.
A class for younger adults will explore Faith5 (Faith Acts in the Home).
Senior adults will use a resource titled First Things, a study of selected texts from Genesis, Exodus and Psalm 104.
For children age 2 through sixth grade, St. Peter's offers the spark faith formation program. Each lesson gets kids opening the Bible and exploring God's Word.
Older youth will utilize Echo the Story, an imaginative way to engage in the Bible using storytelling, creative reflection and dialogue.
In addition to these offerings Sunday mornings, St. Peter's offers a Bible study for adults Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
The congregation supports parents, grandparents and other family members in their central role in the faith formation of young children. Monthly resources entitled Splash! are provided for children from birth to age 36 months.
The Little Lutheran is designed for children from preschool to age 7. Ten issues a year, which arrive in the mail in the child's name, are filled with art, stories, prayers, songs and activities.
Spark Family - for children in preschool through fourth grade - is designed to help families fit faith into everyday life. Each quarterly issue comes alive with colorful images from the Spark Story Bible and engaging activities for the whole family.
