Thank you for successful clothing drive

Editor, the Advocate:

The Victoria Jaycees would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those in the community who are cleaning out their closets and donating to the third annual clothing drive to help the homeless and needy in Victoria County.

Our first drop-off Sept. 7 was a huge success. We were able to get it all sorted by gender and sizes. We appreciate the outpouring from the community in order to assist us in aiding those less fortunate in our county.

As you are cleaning out those closets and replacing older clothes with those newly purchased items, remember that we are still collecting. We are accepting infant to adult clothes, shoes, formals, belts, purses, etc. and still have another drop-off date Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jaycee Hall board room, 2905 E. North St.
