West's Mickey wins at Beeville Invitational

BEEVILLE - Victoria West's Todd Mickey won the varsity boys division to lead the Warriors to a third-place finish Saturday at the Beeville Invitational cross country meet.

Mickey had a time of 16 minutes, 55 seconds over the 3.1-mile course.

West's Blake Westbrook was fifth in a time of 18:25, and Lupe Vega was 12th in a time of 18:53.

Meagan Hill led the West girls with an 11th place finish over the 3.1-mile course in a time of 23:28. Mallory Draper placed 16th in a time of 24:12.

Cobras place third

MOULTON - Leo Baez, Will Maraggia and James Adams led the Industrial boys to a third-place finish Saturday in the Class 1A-2A division at the Moulton Invitational.

Baez had a time of 18:16, Marraggia finished in 18:34, and Adams had a time of 19:12.

Cassidy High (13:49), Cierra Borak (15:25), and Lucero Gonzalez (15:42) led the Lady Cobras, who finished sixth.

Lady Flyers finish 14th

MOULTON - At the 25th annual Moulton Cross Country meet on Saturday, the St. Joseph girls cross country team finished in 14th place. Kristin Sontheimer was the top Lady Flyer by finishing 42nd with a time of 16:14 on the 2.2 mile rugged course.
