Hallettsville Pharmacy will have a re-grand opening of its newly expanded pharmacy 3-7 p.m. Thursday.
Customers are invited to donate toothbrushes and toothpaste to be delivered to an orphanage in Nicaragua.
Verna Brunner, head of the pharmacy's business development and marketing, is one of three Bridgewater Candle Co. dealers selected to go to Spartanburg, S.C., on Oct. 10 to meet the family and tour the manufacturing facility.
Then, on Oct. 11, the group will travel to Nicaragua and spend time delivering supplies to an impoverished community on the outskirts of a trash dump in Managua.
The group will then continue on to the orphanage and spend time getting to know the children and complete a service project. The group will return Oct. 14.
Bridgewater Candle Co. is a candle and home fragrance manufacturer based in Spartanburg.
"This experience will give me the opportunity to show and tell Hallettsville that their purchases are making a difference for others around the world," said Brunner.
The re-grand opening at 304 N. Texana St. will also include a prize wheel and discount with purchase. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served.
