Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice

Thumbs-up and hats off to the Victoria Symphony. The performance of Cirque de la Symphonie last Saturday night was outstanding. I'm looking forward to more events.
Thumbs-up to Noel Wells for making the big-time - a cast member of "Saturday Night Live!" After all that time you spent on stage at Theatre Victoria: "The wait was well worthwhile."
Thumbs-up to UHV criminal justice professor J. Keith Akins for promoting the teaching of true history by having the three Korean War veterans speak to students and by requiring all freshmen to read "Escape from Camp 14: One Man's Remarkable Odyssey from North Korea to Freedom in the West."
Thumbs-down for the snake in the car. I probably would have had to sell it. Oh my, horrible, horrible. I don't know how they made it home. That was a good article. I could visualize it completely. Sistas would have left the car there and made a few calls for pick up. Those were brave young ladies.
Thumbs-down to Wal-Mart for not having more than one cashier checking out the 20 or more people waiting in line but has all of the managers and main people blocking the aisles as you are trying to maneuver through the store.
Thumbs-down to garage sale signs being picked up by the authorities when there are all kinds of signs posted on the electrical poles, etc., by United Home Builders and RV parks advertisement, and no one pulls those signs off. These people post their signs, and they are left there on the poles until the wind blows them in the ditch so the shredders can hit them.
