Late goals win it for UHV

UHV scored two goals in the second half and snatched its seventh win of the season over UT-Permian Basin (4-2), 2-1.

Stanley Smith scored the first goal of the game in the 73rd minute off a cross from Hector Ramirez. Less than four minutes later, Nathan Cotterell tied the game on a goal off a deflection.

Daniel Lozano scored the game-winning goal for the Jaguars (7-2) in the 82rd minute.

UHV women 3, UT-Permian Basin 1

After giving up a quick goal to winless UT-Permian Basin (0-7), the Jaguars took over.

In a span of 13 minutes, UHV (4-5) scored three goals and would hold on for the 3-1 victory.

Nereyda Martinez started the scoring off in the 23rd minute. Megan Huerta followed her with another goal in the 25th minute, and Ashley Romeo rounded out the scoring in the 36 minute.
