Gambling game room raided in Goliad

The Goliad County Sheriff's Office raided Lucky Lady Game Room on Saturday, confiscating $865, gambling paraphernalia and 37 gaming machines.
A news release stated deputies had been investigating illegal activity at Lucky Lady, 147 S. Commercial St., for several months.
Charges have been filed against several people believed to be organizing the gambling, which include engaging in organized criminal activity, keeping a gambling place and possession of gambling paraphernalia, according to the news release.
All evidence will be presented to the district attorney's office for further investigation, according to the news release.
Calls from concerned citizens related to illegal gambling are welcome at the sheriff's office.
