Bluebonnet Youth Ranch will host its annual Spring Fling benefit at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Yoakum Community Center, 105 Huck St.
The Yoakum Golf Association will donate its services to prepare a barbecue chicken dinner with all the trimmings to be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sweets including cakes, pies, bread pudding and other homemade desserts will be sold.

As every year, there will be lots of flowering plants for sale - of all shapes and sizes - from hanging baskets to bedding plants.
The Artisans' Market will feature a variety of woodwork and artwork, donkey milk soap, homemade egg noodles, H&H jalapeno bread, Comfort Foods soup mixes, bohemian tamales, homemade mustards, jellies, pickles, beats, okra and all sorts of canned goods.
Other activities include face-painting, balloon creations and other children's activities.
Bluebonnet Youth Ranch is a nonprofit facility that serves as a long-term, residential home for dependent, abused and neglected children. Bluebonnet consists of three fully equipped cottages, a relief cottage, an administration building, a barn and animal pens, a small fishing pond, a woodworking shop, a mechanic shop and a recreation building.
All proceeds from the Spring Fling will be used for Bluebonnet operating expenses.
