Lady Flyers soar past opposition at SAC Invitational

SAN ANTONIO - The St. Joseph Lady Flyers track team won first place at the San Antonio Christian Invitational on Friday with a team score of 214 points.

Kristen Fisher won three separate track and field events to win the high-point female award with 39 points. She won the long jump, triple jump and 100-meter dash.

The Lady Flyers took first in two relay races - the 400- and 1,600-meter relays - Abigail Gwosdz took first in the pole vault, and Kristi Hempel and Beth Bingham tied for first place in the high jump.

The St. Joseph boys' track and field team won fifth place at the same meet.

William Proctor took the high-point male award after finishing first in the 110-meter hurdles, placed second in the high jump, third in the long jump and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.
