UHV swept in doubleheader by No. 4 Lady Generals

UHV couldn't generate much offense and was swept in a doubleheader by No. 4 LSU-Alexandria on Saturday at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.

LSU-Alexandria won the first game 2-1 and cruised to a 14-1 win in the second game that was stopped after five innings because of the mercy rule.

The No. 19 Jaguars (22-11) had eight hits in the first game, including three by Rachel Laird.

Shelby Smith added a double and an RBI.

Smith had two of UHV's hits in the second game. Savannah Crittenden had a hit and the lone RBI.
