Victorians should take advantage of broadcast

Editor, the Advocate:

We recently watched a wonderful performance of "La Boheme" at the local Cinemark theater. Unfortunately, there were only six of us in the entire theater - in the past, we have actually been the only couple a few times.

It is a wonderful opportunity that people are missing. It is the actual performance from The Met, and you get to see behind the curtain for scene changes and they interview the stars. The next one is April 26 with an encore April 30.

It is a wonderful way to introduce your children to opera. It is captioned so you know what they are saying. The next performance is April 26 at noon and an encore is on the following Wednesday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m. This needs to be advertised, and I wonder if you can get someone to do an article on this for the paper. It is live via HD transmissions to movie theaters all over the world, and Victoria is lucky to be included. We will have another performance May 10 and 14, then the 2014-15 season will begin Oct. 11 with "Macbeth." Please get the word out.
