America needs to cultivate culture of life
Editor, the Advocate:
America is too great a nation for us to be having such problems. We need to get back to the basics: strong families, faith in God and a love of morality.
Strong families develop when young people embrace chastity. In any survey, both girls and boys say they would like their future spouse to be a virgin. How effectively are we teaching purity to our youth?
In America, there are more people attending church than ever before, but there is confusion on traditional Christian values. Abortion (including contraception - read the instructions) is always wrong. Marriage is only between a man and a woman, and the Ten Commandments are for the good of society.
We need to dedicate ourselves to living our lives in harmony with that of our creator. We can restore this nation to the ideals of our Founding Fathers. If we "keep holy the Sabbath," restore modesty and uphold Christian values, then we can transform our society back from a culture of death to a culture of life.
