Accident sends two to hospital (w/video)

Emergency responders secure Melinda Charleston, 27, the driver of a Kia Optima, to a stretcher after she was hurt in a  wreck. She and her passenger were taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro on Saturday night after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ashford Drive and North Ben Jordan Street, said Patrol Officer Jeremy Buchhorn of the Victoria Police Department. Rachel Parkinson, 21, the driver of a Honda Civic, was turning left from Ashford Drive onto Ben Jordan Street when she hit the Kia traveling north on Ben Jordan Street. Police are investigating the accident.

Two people went to the hospital Saturday night after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ashford Drive and North Ben Jordan Street, said Patrol Officer Jeremy Buchhorn of the Victoria Police Department.

Rachel Parkinson, 21, the driver of a Honda Civic, was turning left from Ashford Drive onto Ben Jordan Street when she hit a Kia Optima traveling north on Ben Jordan Street.

Melinda Charleston, 27, the driver of the Optima, and her passenger were taken by ambulance to DeTar Hospital Navarro. The identity of the passenger was not available. Police are investigating the accident.
