St. Mary's Altar Society holds meeting

St. Mary's Altar Society met April 14 at the St. Mary's Activity Center, 401 S. Liberty St. Pattie Stevens, president, called the meeting to order, and the Rev. Gabriel Mensah gave the invocation.

Anita Palladino, social chairwoman, reported that the coffee and donut socials after the 8 a.m. Mass will dispense until September.

Easter flowers in honor or memory of a loved one can still be made to Georgia West at P.O. Box 66, Victoria, TX 77902.

Parishioners are asked to help decorate the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The yearly games party will be Tuesday at the activity center, 401 S. Liberty St. Lunch will be served. There will be a country store with baked goods and crafts from the sewing group. For reservations, call Ann Carver at 361-575-2050 or Martha Hamel at 361-575-1932.

Hostesses for the meeting were Hamel, Gladys Taylor, Charlotte Sartor and Connie Johnson.

Dorothy Bomba won the door prize.

Mensah gave the benediction, and the meeting adjourned with a social hour.
