Amy Michele Hlavaty and Justin Matthew Hernandez of Tyler were married on October 26, 2013 at Elmwood Gardens in Palestine. Reverend James Bray of Tyler officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jerome and Margie Hlavaty of Yorktown. She is the granddaughter of Jerome Hlavaty, Sr. of Lolita.
The groom is the son of Robert and Guadalupe Hernandez of Atascosa.
Chrissy Borgfeld of Seguin attended as maid of honor. Sarah Neely of Victoria and Kara Stevens of Round Rock both attended as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandie Enriquez of San Antonio, Deanna Warwas of Austin, Dr. Julie Fisher of San Marcos and Dr. Sarah Wilson of Corpus Christi. Enjoli Hernandez of San Antonio attended as the flower girl.
Jason Hernandez of San Antonio served as best man. Groomsmen were Orlando Sepulveda of San Antonio, Michael Nymeyer of Richardson, Juan Enriquez of San Antonio, John Rivera of San Antonio, Jason Ytuarte of San Antonio and Ryan Burke of Kyle. Chantz Stevens of Round Rock served as ring bearer.
Ushers were Michael Sexton of Austin and Andrew Hernandez of San Antonio.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Elmwood Gardens in Palestine. The couple spent their honeymoon in Charleston, South Carolina and currently resides in Tyler.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Yorktown High School and a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2012. She is currently a second-year resident in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Sunnybrook Christian Academy in San Antonio and received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2007 from Baylor University in Waco. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Biology from the University of Texas in Tyler.
