County politicians prove America full of greed
Editor, the Advocate:
I got a campaign flyer in the mail for the mayor of Cuero. It said the individual is honest, has integrity, is straightforward and energetic. Now, we can go to city hall and pay our utility bill and cast our vote for mayor, and they can tell us what the power charge is for.
I also read the Cuero Record and saw one of the councilmen had an ad about what he has done. The thing about the Boys and Girls Club is great, but all the stop signs that the city put up on the back streets, except at the corner of Broadway and Esplanade, don't have left hand turn lanes - with all the traffic during the day.
I can sit at my dining room table and look out the window and see two stop signs, and so many of the people that run those stop signs aren't citizens.
This country is all about greed. It's all about people spending someone else's money to satisfy themselves. It is first your money, then your clothes, then your skin.
Just remember, you are taking retired people's money who really need it. There is someone watching you - someone that is above you.
So don't forget to ask the mayor, when you go pay your electric bill, what the power cost is for.
Let's see if there is any honesty between thieves.
