Editor, the Advocate:
The family of Floy "Flo" Maxine Gamblin Rankin, of Woodsboro, wants to express our deepest appreciation to her many friends in Woodsboro and throughout the region for their support for her and our family during her extended illness. Her husband, Al Rankin, and children, Doug, Diane, Randy and Janet, thank you particularly for visits, meals, prayers and encouragement during the past year. We also greatly appreciate the compassionate care of Crown Hospice of Victoria during her last few weeks with us.
Flo was a significant presence at First Baptist Church of Woodsboro and was known in the region as former co-owner (with her sister Betty Imes) of The Strawberry House.
As husband and children, our enormous loss is tempered by the knowledge that she is now in our Lord's presence. We celebrate the legacy of generous, gracious love she leaves with both family and community.
