St. Joseph High School's Varsity Treble Choir and Varsity Mixed Chorus won concert and sight reading trophies at the Texas Private School Music Educators Association competition at Houston Christian High School on March 28. The two choirs received trophies because they received first division superior ratings in both concert and sight reading. This is the seventh year that the STJ Choral program has won a Texas Private School Music Educators Association concert and sight reading trophy. The choirs are directed by Michael Petrisky and accompanied by Sandra Glenn. Shown with the trophies, from left, are St. Joseph High School varsity choir officers Johanna Hoang, quartermaster/librarian; Sarah Valenzuela, president; Hannah Boozalis, vice president; and Bailey Leadbetter, chaplain.
