Steve Zeplin blasted the pins for a great middle game during Red River League play to earn the high scoring honors for the week.

Zeplin started league competition with a 216 game and then started the second game with a spare followed by 10 strikes in a row before a 7-pin count on the 11th ball stopped his string, and he logged a 287. With a 203 game to finish his series, he ended with a 706 total and the only 700-plus score for the week.

Steve Dickinson posted a 249-high game on his way to a 695 set and second high. He also rolled a 652 in another league.

Juan Godina bowled one of his highest career series when he rolled a 692 total.

Randy Vivero matched the 692 total with a 254-692.

Other scores of note for the men were: Mark McDonald (685), Mike Stacy (279-682), Joey Matson (681), Sterling Kocian (677), Chris Kurtz (258-676), Jamar Bryant (279-674), Bobby Mowles (277-673), Pedro Alva (673), Robert Gonzales (267-669), Charles Aiken (656), Ben Mooney (255-655), Miles Michalec (652), Jordan Glass (264), Mark Gschwind (257), James Holbert (256), Todd Pfuhl (255) and T.J. Mooney (253).

In a display of team consistency, the Red River League five-person team of MFP did not have an open frame during the first game to record a nice 1,168 scratch score.

Carri Lee continues to bowl well with an excellent start in the Sugar & Spice League.

She posted a 247-high game on her way to a 603 total.

Gayle Boy rolled the second-highest total with a 212-590. Olivia Jackson was third with a 572.

Vera Cruz Restaurant bowlers for the week are Juan Godina, 806 (Sundowners), and Nancy Smith 708 (Over The Hill).

Congratulations to Mike Stacy for breaking the bank at the Century Lanes last week.

Summer League schedules are now available at the Century Lanes front desk.

The 30th annual Senior Mixed Tournament will be competed this coming Friday and Saturday. The squads schedule is posted on the lanes bulletin board.
