Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice
Thumbs-up to the movie "God's Not Dead." It's an excellent movie. I encourage all to see this movie.
Thumbs-up to Zoom Physical Therapy and Rehab for getting me well.
Thumbs-up to Danny Everitt, local boy made good. Danny was recently awarded Singer-Songwriter of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music for 2014. To congratulate him or to get his recordings, contact him at dannyeveritt.net.
Thumbs-down to the loud, horn-blowing train that has no compassion for those trying to sleep and rest between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. from George Street to Pleasant Green on the Port Lavaca Highway.
Thumbs-down to our city officials for wasting our tax dollars. I saw the list of subdivision/residential streets that are going to be redone in the next few years. Most of them are going to be seal coated, which is a waste of money. All they do is spray tar over the existing surface, and then they spread asphalt over it. This does nothing for you; it does not level low spots or anything. I suggest you folks start raising objections now and demand that your streets be torn out and redone with the hot mix. Needless to say, my subdivision was not on the list, and David Hagan won't do anything for us.
Thumbs-down to the parents who bought their son a 2014 red Camaro sports car and allowed him to drive it without a license to and from high school. On April 16, he crashed his car into my retired neighbor's lovely home, endangering innocent people and destroying their property. Why is this young man allowed to park at the high school without possessing a driver's license? Some parents in Victoria are bringing up their children without modeling any aspect of accountability, responsibility or respect for the law.
