Early voting begins Monday in May 10 election
Early voting begins Monday for the May 10 city and school elections.
Elections for many entities were canceled because the candidates were unopposed.
Two entities - Hallettsville and Moulton school districts - have special elections.
Hallettsville is proposing an $11,630,000 bond to establish new facilities at the elementary and junior high school campuses.
Moulton school district is seeking permission from the voters to purchase attendance credits from the state with local tax revenues. The election deals with the district's wealth as a Chapter 41 district under the Robin Hood plan.
Early voting ends May 6.
In Victoria County, early voting for the three water districts will be in their respective offices. Only voters who are registered to vote in the water districts are eligible to vote in this election, according to a news release from Victoria County Election Administrator George Matthews.
Vote centers will not be used for the May 10 election, he said.
To find out where to vote, contact the city hall or the school district in your city.
