Jaguars to face top seed in tournament opener

UHV will be the sixth seed at the NAIA's American Association of Independent Institutions Baseball Championship.
The double-elimination tournament begins Friday at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass.
The Jaguars (20-29) will open against top-seed Georgia Gwinnett (44-9) in a 10 a.m. game.
If UHV wins, it will play at 1 p.m. Saturday against the loser of the Cal State-San Marcos-Fisher College game.
If the Jaguars lose, they will play at 10 a.m. Saturday against the loser of the LSU-Alexandria-Lindenwood game.
UHV wrapped regular-season play by going 1-2 at LSU-Alexandria.
The Jaguars won the first game 6-5 on Friday.
Nathan Falkenstine was the winning pitcher. Dylan Blaha and Brandon Bohanon each had four hits.
LSU-Alexandria swept UHV on Saturday, winning 10-0 and 11-1.
