Woman injured in US 87 crash (w/video)

Police work the scene of a two-vehicle wreck that sent one to the hospital on U.S. Highway 87 at Westerlund Grade Road in Port Lavaca on Wednesday. Mary Anyece Wuensch, 81, of Port Lavaca, was crossing the highway westbound on Westerlund Grade Road just before 6 p.m. in a 2010 white Buick Enclave when she struck an 18-wheeler. The truck, driven by Alejandro Guillen, 31, of Corpus Christi, was traveling South and attempted to swerve to avoid the Buick said Texas Department of Public Safety trooper Stephen Gray. Wuensch was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca.

Mary Anyece Wuensch, of Port Lavaca, was southbound crossing U.S. Highway 87 on Westerlund Grade Road about 6 p.m. Wednesday in a 2010 white Buick Enclave when she struck a tractor-trailer. The truck driver, Alejandro Guillen, 31, of Corpus Christi, was driving toward Port Lavaca and attempted to swerve to avoid the Buick, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Stephen Gray. Wuensch was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca. Her condition was not available late Wednesday.
