A jury convicted a 25-year-old Victoria man of driving while intoxicated Thursday.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Jeannie Slovacek arrested Cody John Hicks on Feb. 23, 2013, after a two-car crash on U.S. Highway 87.
The other driver involved was hospitalized.
Hicks consented to a breath sample after the crash, according to a news release from the Victoria County District Attorney's Office.
County Court-at-Law No. 2 Judge Daniel F. Gilliam presided over the jury trial.
Attorney Leslie LeGrand III, of Houston, represented Hicks.
Assistant Criminal District Attorney Timothy R. Poynter represented the state.
Hicks is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 3, according to court records.
