Editor, the Advocate:
I would like to take this very visible opportunity to thank every single soul who had anything to do with the recent Theatre Victoria's production of "Beauty and The Beast."
This production took hours and hours of hard work for those who participated. From the most magnificent orchestra to each and every actor; from those who manned the spotlights to those who handled wardrobe. To every single person who brought this magnificent production to fruition, a sincere thank you from the people of Victoria who were lucky enough to have attended.
It must be noted that this was a Victoria presentation. Those were our kids, our friends who were playing in the orchestra pit; those were our local young people dancing and singing and acting and giving us, the audience, an absolutely magnificent evening. Somehow, I do not think these people, who gave of their time and gave of their talent, know what a gift they gave us - the audience.
There were no stars, although, yes, Belle and The Beast were exceptional, but each person who had a hand in the show must know how very much their efforts were appreciated by so many.
This was an extraordinary gift to Victoria. Theatre Victoria must be proud, and we Victorians must continue to support it, as we - the citizens of this community - will only benefit from its efforts. Jam-packed audiences for the performances are a testament to the hard work, long hours and talent that went into these evenings.
There is no way to thank each one personally, so let this be a heart felt thank you to each and every one of you who had anything to do with bringing this gift to us. Feel good about your time spent. Be proud of what you achieved, and know how very, very much you were appreciated for an evening of enchantment with your "Beauty and the Beast."
