CUERO - Locally owned and operated Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center recently received a deficiency-free 2014 health survey.
The annual survey was conducted June 10 to 13.
According to the 2013 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' annual Nursing Home Data Compendium, less than 10 percent of nursing homes achieve a deficiency-free health survey. This year marks the second year Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center completed its annual survey without a single nursing deficiency.
Devan Dekowski, Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center administrator, attributed the facility's accomplishments to the "care and compassion his staff provides residents on a daily basis," according to a news release from the nursing home.
"I'm proud to be part of a team that provides quality care in a safe environment to the Cuero community. After all, safety and compassion drive this industry. Now, we have two surveys that confirm our residents come first," Dekowski said.
